Nova Gorica - Where the Soča River flows

The Soča is a river that is 136 km in length. Its spring is in the Trenta Valley, and it then descends towards the sea.  Its uniqe feature is the emerald green colour. It also has its place in history because the Soča Valley was one of the most important battlefields in WW1, and the sings of it are still visible on the surrounding mountains.

The climate here is mild, Mediterranean, which is perfect to practice sport throughout the year.  The nearby regions offer a series of possibilities for lovers of active relaxation; be it fishing, kayaking, rafting, canyoning, bugee jumping, parachuting and paragliding, archery, tennis, caving, skiing, hiking, cycling, etc.

The rich historical and cultural heritage give these places a special imprint.
